Vivo has officially confirmed the launch of its Vivo X200 series, scheduled for October 14 in China. This new flagship lineup will include three models — the Vivo X200, Vivo X200 Pro, and a compact Vivo X200 Pro mini. Ahead of the launch, Vivo’s Vice President Jia Jingdong revealed the design of the upcoming phones, providing a glimpse of what users can expect from the Vivo X200 series.
The Vivo X200 Pro and Pro Mini seemingly have a premium design. The Vivo X200 Pro mini will offer a micro-quadruple camera setup at the back, and a smaller screen with narrow borders and rounded corners. Both the phones actually have giant rear camera modules and the Pro seemingly has a slimmer profile. The Vivo X200 series will continue to have ZEISS optics, similar to its predecessor, the X100 series.
The Pro model will be available in various colours, including white, titanium, blue, and black. The mini variant will feature additional shades like green and pink. The new Vivo X200 series will likely make it to the Indian market, and it is expected to arrive in early 2025.
The Pro Mini, despite being smaller, is tipped to pack serious power under the hood. It could feature a 6.3-inch 120Hz LTPO 1.5K OLED display, the latest MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-818 main camera, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 200-megapixel periscope telephoto lens for 3x zoom. The device will reportedly be equipped with a 5,700mAh battery, supporting 90W wired and 50W wireless charging.
As for the Vivo X200 Pro, leaks suggest a slightly larger screen, either 6.7 or 6.8 inches, paired with a 6,000mAh battery. The device is tipped to support advanced camera features powered by the V3+ ISP, such as a 135mm focal length 200MP telephoto lens, 4K120fps slow motion, telephoto macro mode, and advanced video capabilities including 4K backlit movie portrait mode.
Additionally, the Pro model is likely to come with Vivo’s OriginOS 5 based on Android 15, featuring AI-powered features like voice transcription, real-time translation, beauty filters, and even AI NPCs for a better gaming experience.
