16 “ Antique French Fashion Doll Exquisite Face

Description

This is a lovely antique French Fashion doll measuring 16" tall.  She has a beautiful bisque head with no damage of any kind, on a separate shoulder plate.  Her bisque is flawless with pretty blushing, and her light blue eyes are mesmerizing.  Her leather body is in remarkable shape considering her age, save for a small puncture on her left upper arm which could use a tiny leather patch.  Her wig and cork pate may be original.  Bonnet is later.  She is unmarked as far as I can see but was surely from one of the finer doll makers.
Her dress could also be original; it is very early at any rate and was professionally made. It was beautifully made in colors of ecru and coral and trimmed with ruched coral and laces.
It has a couple of small holes that don't detract.
Her little French Fashion shoes also look to be original, very sweet.  Underneath are vintage pantaloons and half slip.  Both her dress and half slip are longer in the back than the front.
