DESCRIPTION
Here is a beautiful antique 19th C Jumeau #4 doll, marked Depose Jumeau 4 and red H ll.  She has beautiful brown eyes, very full cheeks, feathered eyebrows, painted lashes, pierced ears with earrings and a lovely closed mouth with rosey colored lips. She has straight wrist, jointed elbow and ball jointed at knee.  She appears to be wearing her original silk dress gorgeous but rather tattered and fragile.  I opted to keep her dress on as it is so delicate and pieces drop as you touch her.  She has lovely undergarments and socks and shoes.   She does have a hairline down her forehead and tight hairline down her back, and a broken pinky, as shown in the images.  She measures about 12 1/2"  She still has her pate and blonde wig attached.  She comes with fabulous matching hat which appears original with some patina but overall in great condition.
I am not a doll expert but she is an early beautiful Jumeau doll, I was told she is from 1876 but I am not an expert, she is shown as best I can without removing her clothes, displays beautifully and is worthy of restoration.
