Part in photo is for an Enterprise NO. 40 Patented April of 1883 Sausage Press.
The gears and gear housing are solid  and ready to go to work.
What is in the picture is the item you are purchasing.
There are some rust and wear spots but this is an original part and I think you expect some signs of use.
