Description
Offered today is a unique vintage (circa 1940s) panel cuff bracelet, fully hallmarked with the Talleres de Los Ballesteros early stamps.
This bracelet features five nielloware panels (oxidized/darkened silver at the base) with what appear to be spider or octopus (with smiling faces!) hand-tooled sterling silver patterns raised above the oxidized surface.  The panels are slightly domed and they curve around the wrist nicely, when worn.
All of the hinges work fine--I notice under close scrutiny that one of them may have been repaired with a bit of silver solder on the underside.  I just mention it for accuracy (and honesty). The bracelet is in perfectly wearable condition.  It has a tongue-and-box clasp which closes with a crisp click.
This cool collectible Los Ballesteros bracelet measures 1 1/8" wide and will fit up to a 6.75" wrist.  It's hallmarked with the double B, "Talleras de Los Ballesteros Taxco" (and something missing); Hecho en Mexico and Sterling 925.  It weighs 52.5 grams and is in good vintage condition.
