What's Included?
This is a new M-S 5001 cash drawer lock and 1 key. It comes with the latch, screw, and locking clip for the backside of the lock. The items shown in the photos are what you'll receive.
We also sell
a 5001 key without the lock
if that's all you need.
What Does It Fit?
This lock is also commonly used with compatible cash drawers from brands like Star Micronics, EchoPOS, Revel Systems, Square, and Groov POS. See the bottom of this listing for specific compatible cash drawer models.
If you've broken a key off in the lock there are a few possible ways, listed below, to remove the damaged lock. Once the drawer is open you can remove the retaining clip on the backside of the lock and it should come out. Installation is the reverse.
Use the Drawer Kick Feature of the POS Printer (if applicable) to open the drawer
See if there's a manual release/open mechanism on the bottom of the drawer
Remove the screws on the bottom of the drawer and carefully move the bottom plate enough to get a hand in and remove the clip
