Some of us still love using 38mm balls when playing table tennis. The ball is faster, we love it's bounce and we've played with 38mm balls for decades.
What I have done is, I modified my Robo-Pong 2000 robot's tower (the oscillation mechanism was removed) and converted it to an equivalent of a Robo-Pong 540 - only one that uses 38mm balls. That's why I nick-named it "538" model. I used the same control box, power supply and signal cable of my Robo-Pong 2000 robot.
The robot functions are very crisp with strong shooting of the balls.
If you also love using 38mm balls when playing table tennis, this is a wonderful opportunity to improve your game.
If you ever decided to replace your robot's tower with an actual model 1040 robot tower, this control box, power supply and signal cable could still be used with the new arrangement. Then, you would also have the "oscillation" feature.
